  • Support mature governance and provide strategic and operational direction for your organization’s cybersecurity, information assurance, and cyber-related people, processes, and technology.
  • Establish, mature, and maintain your organization’s cyber strategy, system security plans (SSP), business continuity, and service delivery plans to meet business goals, achieve critical cybersecurity initiatives, protect critical IT infrastructure and data, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Selected Courses and Programs
  • This course examines the impact of theories and research findings relevant to leadership and team building in organizations. The role of the leader and teams in organizations is discussed. The knowledge and skills required for successful leadership and team building are analyzed. An assessment of one’s own leadership and team building capabilities is completed.

  • This course provides a comprehensive introduction to network protocols, technologies and operations, and security. The core concepts of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, and an introduction to communication protocols at the application, and transport layers, Domain Name System, Network segmentation, Wireless and Cellular Networks, Content Distribution Networks are reviewed. Components of secure network architecture and operations, including managing identity and authentication, controlling and monitoring access are covered.

  • This course will provide an understanding and application of the methods for evaluating, analyzing, and managing risk within organizations. Students will learn to apply multiple risk-management tools to make high-quality decisions for balancing corporate risk and reward tradeoffs.

  • This course will examine the required skills and methods to gain full situational awareness of global cybersecurity issues that impact private and public sector companies. Students will learn the principles and methods of identifying and achieving the security, risk management, and resiliency objectives of an enterprise.

  • This course will use the United States’ defined critical infrastructure sectors as a guide for students to explore both systemic and non-systemic cybersecurity vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and dependencies. The students will initially develop an offensive plan to disrupt an organization’s information assets; this will be followed by analysis and planning to guard against such an attack.

  • This course examines the following: information asset governance, including frameworks and models from select standards boards as well as applicable laws and regulations; practices for identifying and classifying information assets; and techniques for protecting virtual information assets. The course also includes a non-technical overview of practical applications of cryptographic theory and code-breaking, including quantum computing, and the legal implications and liabilities for failing to do so.

  • A macro-level course that examines the intersection between business strategy, organizational leadership, and organizational change. Drawing from the disciplines of strategy, human resources management, organizational development, and leadership, this upper-level course engages students in the observation and analysis of the corporate executives’ perspective.

  • Effective crisis communication is essential to organizational resiliency and recovery in the case of a damaging cybersecurity event. This course prepares students to develop communications protocols, processes, platforms and messaging well before the onset of cybersecurity crises, disasters, and significant investigatory matters.

  • This course examines cybersecurity strategies and policies in a dynamic environment from the perspective of a cybersecurity executive within an organization. The course prepares students to engage in continuity planning for organizations. Governance issues will be integrated with risk management concerns and operational issues. Assessments with evidence-based practices will be used to study and evaluate cases.

  • The overall objective of this course is to have students apply the cybersecurity knowledge and critical thinking skills acquired through the program to a variety of contemporary and social issues that are featured in high profile current event cases.
