Dr. Cameron Oden joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Fall of 2022 after completing a postdoctoral position at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Oden performs research in the areas of environmental chemistry, water treatment, remediation, thermocatalysis, and sustainable engineering. His current research focuses on understanding the fate and transport as well as the treatment and degradation of emerging contaminants, such as PPCPs and PFAS. Additional projects include the reuse of waste materials, such as iron and manganese precipitates collected from water treatment, in treatment processes to create a more sustainable future. Dr. Oden’s teaching interests include Physical-Chemical Treatment of Aqueous Wastes, Aqueous Chemistry, Hazardous Waste Treatment, and Analytical Chemistry.
